Writing Status Update: Post-July Camp NaNo

So, this is just a quick update since I’ve been off here for a while. In the last few months, I plotted book five and drafted book five during Camp NaNoWriMo last month (with a couple chapters at the beginning of this month to wrap things up). I also finished the typing up the latest draft of my first book, and now I’m reading through it in preparation for my next round of revisions.

The current plan is to read through the latest draft of book one, revise it, and give it a final read before giving it to beta readers… with any luck, that will come together before November (aka- NaNoWriMo). In addition, I will be plotting book six so I can draft book six during NaNoWriMo. I’m particularly looking forward to that, as book six will complete the first arc of my series! It will also mark plotting and writing four books in about 14 months, which is a much faster pace than what I was doing prior to last October-ish.

Also, with this past Camp NaNo, I ended up finding creating a nice little writing community as I searched for cabinmates, and it seems like this group should be good for keeping all of us motivated year round. And we also started a book club, which is fun so far. Our first book was/is The Giver by Lois Lowry. Always a good read, in my opinion.

How are your projects going? I would love to hear from you!
